just came back from niigata
before i carry on further...
to Rachel and all those concern:
i am so so sorry about the Brian Currie thingy...i think i got mix up with all my Currie facts...
it is JIM CURRIE that is in japan...not BRIAN CURRIE...thank goodness i got my facts right when i was chatting with my mum yesterday...
all the while i thought that it was Brian Currie that is living in japan...i remembered him quite well cause of his size(pardon me)..haha..i remember his wife saying she has to get his clothes tailored cause they can be hardly found anywhere...
and yes rach, if it is Jim Currie..it was quite some time since he came to malaysia..if my memory serves me correctly i think it was when i was around 7 or 8 years old...(tak sampai peringkat baby la)
and no..they are not brothers..brother Brian Currie is the editor for (i forgot the name)christian magazine...and brother Jim Currie was the one who recovered from cancer some time ago...
baka me for getting all my Currie facts wrong...good thing i got them right before i meet him...
anyway,
my first time to the assembly in Niigata,
what can i say?the assembly there reminds me of the assembly in Paramount in some way or another..must be the hall..almost the same..
there are more brethren there..nagaoka only has 14....they have more young ppl there..which is a very good thing cause i made friends with most of them already..2 of them are in niigata university..
before the meeting started, me and another sister from Nagaoka were having dinner at this place when we met them there too...a really really good thing that was cause we had the time to introduce ourselves...and YES!!HE REMEMBERS KLANG!!!he said it was ages ago but he does remember the assembly in klang...
and there was a Japanese brother there who was quite fluent in english..when u mention Malaysia, guess which brother comes in mind???Yes, UNCLE TOM..
haha..somehow or another uncle tom is connected to Malaysia...
mr tom Bentley has been to the assembly in niigata a few times so the ppl there know him well...
anyway brother William was there too with his wife...he said that he was very good friends with uncle tom and and they are from the same place,Belfast,Ireland. He said uncle tom invited him to Malaysia so expect him ppl in Malaysia!!!MR WILLIAM RUBERRY???I dint really catch the last name cause they said it in Japanese which was a bit hard to hear...but something like that la..he said he is thinking about making a trip to malaysia..
his ministry was so so good...or rather cause i haven't hear an english one since april...but somehow or another i felt it was meant for me...too long to go into the details but i felt as if it was directed to me...just the problem i am having right now...i really thank God i went for this meeting...
i had the opportunity to chat with their wives after that...mr Jim Currie was the translator for Mr William and his Japanese was real good...(well,he was in japan for 58 years already,)he and his wife came from Tokyo to help Mr William translate his ministry...
mrs Currie said she hardly remembers klang but she remembered the sunday school singing well...all those young kids..!!!wahahaha...everybody remembers klangs singing well!! chia you!!!miss them...(the japs are real good singers too)
dint manage to get a picture of them..so sorry rach, everyone was sitting in their places so formally..don't expect me to go right in front and ask for a picture right???he was busy chatting anyway,
but i got a GOOD HAND SHAKE !!haha...chatted with mr William after the meeting and it is well obvious that he really looks up to Uncle Tom..well,who doesnt ?
liked the assembly in niigata a lot...and theres a uni there...who knows?God willingly,i hope to further my studies there.....
